“If you are looking for a small group with individuals looking to ski/ ride quiet, unspoilt Hokkaido ski areas, don’t want to drive yourself and happy to meet other individuals who share the same pursuit then I recommend Fab’s tour. You arrange getting to Asahikawa and Fab will figure out where the skiing will be. Staying in central Asahikawa in a well appointed good value 4 star hotel, we were treated to a fabulous breakfast buffet, gorgeous roof top onsen that allowed snow to fall onto you whilst soaking. Like minded folk in the group meant you can choose to explore the night life or not. Fab and Nahmi drove us safely in what were pretty gnarly snow conditions. Apres ski options to visit superb grocery shops and upmarket Op shops for Vinyl (records) gems, anime figurines, bargain ski clothes and hardly used handbags & collectable sports shoes. Fab’s tour is a great introduction to mid Hokkaido skiing for those who wish for someone to do the driving or someone a bit worried about how they would manage their first trip powder chasing in Hokkaido. Thanks Fab and Nahmi.”

Jake B. 25, solo traveller, snowboarder from the UK. Saiko tour 2024

The trip went well beyond expectations, thanks in no small part to the warm family atmosphere created by Fab and his team. His local knowledge of the smaller, uncrowded resorts enabled us to access incredible snow conditions and terrain whilst also providing a more intimate connection with Japanese culture. The trip has left me with many lasting memories of incredible snowboarding and in great company.

My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of going on one of Fab’s tours in 2009. Current guides Matt and Bab were also on hand. An amazing team of riders and guides who were able to coordinate different rider skill levels 024and ensure everyone got maximum fun from every run! Not just great guides but great caring guys as well.”

I’ve been skiing in Australia for 10 years and this is by far the best snow I’ve ever seen, including a trip I did to Hakuba some years ago. Actual proper powder, cheap food and no lift lines!! Besides all this you get to experience Japanese culture in a town with very few western tourists compared to the main resorts down south, Hokkaido is incredible, would 100% recommend!”

After not skiing for 15 years, I was a little nervous to start up again after so long, but Fabs Powder trip made it so enjoyable! Each day of the trip Fab chose the perfect resort to explore for the weather conditions. Each resort he chose had something for everyone no matter your skill level. All the guides were so kind and attentive when needed, but hands off so you could explore and go at your own pace. Fab was also great in helping us prepare for the trip, answering all our questions about which gear to bring with patience! A thoroughly enjoyable time, we will be back for sure!

My wife and I have been on the powder trip twice now. Fab has awesome knowledge of the Japanese slopes, and offers some great safety precautions and advice if you chose to go off piste for the deep powder and tree runs. It's really awesome being taken to resorts that have less people, and more powder. Fab will also will take the tour to the resorts that have have the best conditions (the powder) for that day. I have been in the knee deep powder many many times all over Northern Hokkaido, on these powder trips. Very stoked, also did I mention the powder? Arigato gozaimasu!
